With such a positive response from my Koontz blog (rega1234.blogspot.com) and because of request of family members-- and because of this drive I feel inside of me to know our ancestors--- I have started an O'Hair blog. I hope others will feel free to share memories, pictures, corrections, questions, etc with us. I hope you will enjoy the information being shared on this blog.     So Grandpa Harvey O'Hair was divorced? I don't remember that story.

      Thank you for asking, I see that I made a mistake that I will correct. No he was not divorced. His first wife died in 1917. I am sending this out to some of the grandchildren and great grandchildren from his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Hurt, and I will be sharing more about the Hurt family for them with pictures. Grandpa O'Hair married our grandma in 1923. At that time Nina (Grandpa's and Liz's first child) was 15 and Eulah was 12.

      Thank you Jana. I am slow at getting back on this, but have spent time studying the family through an old newspaper site and the stuff that I already have. The names are a lot the same so sorting out who did what is interesting. Also found 2 articles from the very early 1900's that show an H. B. O'Hair! They are all relatives...

    We went to the O’Hair reunion in 2024 in Greencastle. As far as I know there is one this year.

    my maiden name is OHair my grandfather was John OHair 1895- 1977 His father was James S OHair 1867-1954 and his father was William H OHair 1833-1907 His father was John OHair 1783-1886 and Then Michael OHair I was wondering where I could get a copy of the book about him.Do you know who was his parents

      Sorry to be slow at responding, but I am recovering from surgery. I have chased the book itself around but unable to find it to buy. I did view it, might have been at the Genealogy library owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. I copied those pages relating to my family. As far as I know, no parents have been identified as Michaels. Tomorrow I will review with the names you listed above and get back to you.

    Hi Jill, Michael O'Hair was my 4x great grandfather. Terry O'Hair is very active in the annual family reunion and family history. You might try him as a source for the book. I'm pretty sure my mom and dad had a copy of the book but I have no clue where it is.
